MARINE ALES

Marine Ales (Vardanyan) whose nickname “Ales” is the composition of the initial two letters of the names of her children, respectively Alexander (son) and Seda (daughter), was born in Moscow into the family of an architect and a chemist. Till her teenage years Marine's life was based on the triangle of the three cities: Yerevan, Moscow, Tbilisi. Each of these capitals left its mark on her songs and every song is a small performance in two languages - Armenian and Russian.
Marine Ales attended piano courses at the Yerevan R. Melikyan Musical Institution, the Department of Theatre Critics of Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and post-graduate studies at Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS), Moscow. She authored 5 music albums - ''Run Away'' (1999), ''My Poplars''” (2001), ''Reflections'' (2003), ''With and Without you'' (2007), ''Barefoot Over the Skies'' (2010).
The presentation of the fifth album ''Barefoot Over the Skies'' (2010) and her poetry both in Armenian and Russian languages in the collection titled ''Debris'' was organized in the concert entitled ''Marine Ales and Friends'' and took place in A. Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. The concert revenue went to Grant Life Armenian Charitable Foundation.
Marine is the author of several singles such as ''Stone Rain'', ''Children of Century'', ''Stop, Gentlemen''.
The charity projects went on in March 2015 with a programe“''Milestone of Love…''” in Yerevan and Artsakh.
Within 100 LIVES project initiated by IDeA (Initiatives for Development of Armenia) Foundation, Marine Ales gave a series of concerts titled ''One of You''. The concerts started at Vardan Achemyan State Dramatic Theater in Gyumri on October 28, continued at Kote Marjanishvili State Academic Theater in Tbilisi on October 30, 2015 and ended at the State Hermitage Theater in Saint Petersburg.
Marine Ales is the winner of many Armenian and International competitions. She is the member of Union of Theatrical Figures of Armenia, the member of the artistic council of Cafesjian Center for the Arts Foundation classical concerts and Golden Apricot International Film Festival. Marine Ales is also a co-founder of Gift of Life Benevolent Foundation in Armenia.
